A Jefferson County jury has awarded more than $600,000 to a Gardendale woman who was seriously injured when she was struck by a drunk driver in 2004. A jury on Wednesday awarded Rhonda Lowery $325,126 in compensatory damages and $300,000 in punitive damages, said Birmingham attorney R. Stan Morris.
