Flammable bathrobe leads to wrongful-death lawsuit (San Diego Union-Tribune)

Wrapped in her chenille bathrobe on a February morning, 81-year-old Evelyn Rogoff of Oceanside was making herself a cup of green tea. Doing so proved fatal. The stove's electric burner set Rogoff's bathrobe sleeve on fire, then flames engulfed the garment, burning her and her 83-year-old husband, Murray, who rushed to help her.
