Settlement set in death of Chesapeake crossing guard
CHESAPEAKE The family of a crossing guard killed last fall while working near a Western Branch school is prepared to accept $100,000 to settle a $6 million wrongful death lawsuit. The widower and son of Lovette Person went to court today — the one-year anniversary of the fatal crash – with the intention of settling with Tiare Blees of Chesapeake.
